Friends of Terry's discussed the silent auction plan and decided the best way was to bring it online. We've set up a Silent Auction forum on this site. While still just another forum, we have set up a few guidelines to allow it to function like an auction. (it was the easiest path to get this up and going).
Essentially anyone can put any item up for auction. All proceeds will go to the Drahosh family during Terry's recovery.
We encourage you to let others (non wind junkies) know about the auction. If they are not a registered user of Lakawa, then you can either place bids for them or give them your access info.
SLINGSHOT has provided some great items including 2 Rangers to be put up for auction! North has some items coming in as well. These should be posted soon.
Larry from Scuba Center has offered to be a central drop off for items if you'ld rather not have people picking items up from your home.
Let's all do what we can to make this auction a great success. It's for a really good cause.

Just over 7 hours left till the auctions close.
Look over all the great products, and place your bids. If you've been considering one of these items, now is the time to buy. Not only are the prices great, all proceeds go to a great cause.
Big thanks go out to Slingshot, Ozone, North, Dakine for donating gear. Thanks to Larry for putting the word out to these manufacturers and for placing such a large donation. Thanks to all those who have put gear up for auction and who have placed bids.

OMGosh Thank You So Much
The last year has been very hard on us around here. We have always been on top of things. Since the accident we wern't sure where and what we were going to do. All of you have been so kind in our time of need, we just can't say thank you enough.
We have been contiplating on how we can at least repay the kindness some how. We would like to invite everyone this coming summer or fall to our new domain up by mille lacs not much to look at but it's a place to go while healing. We have been forced to move due to the lack of income coming in. However it will be OK. This will allow us to get back on track and start over. Since I had just started my job less than a year ago, my position has been given to someone else. It's unknow as to how long befor I walk again and how well I walk as well. Things seem OK right now so I will continue to hope for the best recovery.
Putiing all pride aside is difficult at times, we have always given in the past, never really thought we would be on the receiving side. It's such an honor to be a part of a community that cares so much, it brings tears to our eyes.
I will get through our tough times, and concentrate on healing and walking again. You all give me hope and bring my spirts up. I would love to meet each and everyone of you once again this summer I will post a time for everyone to come and camp with me on my lot. I'll buy the keg and barbeque. Most of you know where it's at.
God bless each and everyone of you.
We would like to especially thank Tighe, Mike, Larry, SlingShot, Ozone, North, Dakine and my fellow kiters for donating the additional gear and their exceptional volunteerism.
Terry
