Kite Skiing

Post by thewavebb »

I am looking to get a kite for kite skiing this winter. Does anyone have a recommendation and a price range. I am looking to pick one up this fall sometime. I am 21 and have been windsurfing since I was 14. I am also a freestyle skier with plenty of experiance. Any help would be great
thanks

Hi Ben,

There have been quite a few responses to this kind of question so you might want to search back through the posts a bit. Also, you could look in the Knowledge section.

From reading the past posts though, here's my take...
If you've got money to burn, buy a foil for the snow/ice and inflatable for the water. Assuming you'd like to hang on to your cash and if you plan to do most of your kiting in the snow/ice but have the slightest inkling of kiting in the water, you should get an inflatable because you cannot (apparently) relaunch a foil in the water.

Once you decide on what type to buy, then you can ask more specifically what you are looking for.

Good luck and hope to see you out there (on White Bear)!
