Brainerd area
I'm a newbie looking for a few pointers. I live in Brainerd and would like to learn to snowkite. I have a trainer kite and a ozone 14m. Is anyone going out flying sunday, in Brainerd or Mille Lacs area? Troy.[/b]
Might want to contact Todd Hanson at http://mnkiteboy.com/
Great guy, experienced instructor and incredible kiter.
Also, if you're on a budget check out the Island Lake event in the beginning of Feb. up near Duluth. Put on by UMD's outdoor activity director Randy Carlson, the cost for the day of lessons is minimal.
Check the Events section of this site for more info.
Bryce is also up in your neck of the woods. He might chime in and help hook you up.
Good idea to either get some instruction or hook up with experienced kiter. You may save your ass, and you'll be to the point of enjoying this sport that much sooner.
