Agree with Nathan. Anybody have a good list of movies on DVD to combat boredom from staring at a hospital ceiling?

agreed... terry is going to stuck in the hoasital for the next 5-7 days. I can't imagine how bored he is. so if any one wants to help, buy him a magizene or lend him a video to combat the bordem. or stop by and hang out for a while.

about the story... lets just try to keep it under wraps for now. it will be discused in a week or two, along with proper procerure for when someone gets hurt (ie. not moving the victim). so plese be patient it is kinda a touchy issue right now and there was good reason for it to be deleted.

I hope Terry's surgery went okay. HCMC is one of the top hospitals in the country with a lot of talented docs working there. So he should be in good hands. Anyone of us who kites and rides, particularly in the winter on hard-surface conditions are subject to injury. My thoughts and prayers are with Terry.

A little note, I hope it doesn't cause distraction. I posted the note on kiteforum -- I hope it doesn't create more stress for Terry, family or friends. I'm not able to edit it, but if I could I would put a disclaimer that it's second hand info and the details might be wrong. Anybody that has better info and wants to correct my statement, please do so.

Jesus, I'm completely out of the loop, but get better DRA! IF there is anything I can do: isitwindy@comcast.net
I would just like to add...
If you ever need to visit the hospital due to a kiteboarding accident say you fell down the stairs or something. Otherwise, the insurance companies are going to add kiteboarding to the scuba, hang gliding, etc. list.
I made the mistake a few years ago when I needed stitches after crashing down on the bare ice of Lake Pulaski. The Doc was a snowboarder and, well, it makes you feel special when you say you split your nuts off the side of your face KITEBOARDING.

:( Terry and family, my prayers are with you right now. If there is anything I can do to help you or pick up for him just give me a call. I am going to try to get over there on Wednesday during the day sometime. Squirrel do we know what his new room number is? What are the visiting hours? Let's all just grow and learn from this and support each other. Kiters are like family...

Terry, my initial well-wishings were deleted with some other posts, but know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I saw Terry today. He's in good spirits. Just an FYI I'm sure he will post up also but sounds like he is leaving the hospital today. So call him or Cathy before going to make sure he's there.
