Experience with snowkiting Alberta and/or British Columbia?

Post by Hightower »

I'm heading to Calgary at the end of December and have been poking around for info on riding in Alberta and BC. There seems to be a scene there but it is not as well developed as MN (we rock). I'd like to do a little mountain kiting (Banff, Canmore, Sunshine) and am finding some info, but not as much as I had hoped.

Any comments, links or thoughts?

Thanks for reading.

Steve and I met a couple of kiters in SPI who were moving to Canmore from the Yukon a year or 2 ago. I think the guy's name might have been Steve and the gal was Renee. He makes custom downhill skis and was moving his business there. I didn't find their business on the web but you could call one of the local Canmore ski shops for info or possibly to connect with them. Another location on my wish list!
