Might be the last time on water at Waconia for the 2007 season.

Yes; a sweet, sunny day at the Wac. We had to wade out through a bit of margarita ice to get to the bounty and the water did have a serious cold bite.
All of your equipment has to be just right and dialed in to handle this kind of condition but spend the time to get it right and it is so worth it. And yes, do not venture far from a downwind shore. No doubt windsurfing is far safer than kiting in this condition. A couple times I would take a break by just laying my rig down into the water and kneel on my 120 liter board - on knees and elbows - so I was pretty much completely out of the H20. Then blow into the small palm holes in my mitts and the warm-up would happen quickly.
Sadly it looks like that was the last wet session at the Wac this year.
But the perfect black glass I saw on most of the ponds near the Wac makes it all OK!
