Photo from the Kite Crossing in National Geographic

Post by Tighe »

One of John Pedersen's photos is in National Geographic Adventure magazine this month (Sir Richard Branson on the cover).

Hard to recognize the riders maybe Mike B., Chris B, Matt K????

Kites: Octane or Machine with Yellow trailing edge, Frenzy or Manta with a dark front and yellow trailing edge, dark yellow Fuel, orange and blue TD, a black Diesel, black kite with blue tips, Blue and white Cab C kite.

Unfortunately the shot they chose doesn't have anyone super lit. But every non kiter that has seen it thinks it looks really cool.

way to go John!

Thanks for the heads up, Tighe - There's a nice little segment on learning to kite here in MN with LAKAWA prominently featured.

You're right, I was surprised at the shot they picked, and to be honest, I can't say that I love how they cropped and toned it, but hey - it's all good!

I posted the shot on my blog (http://www.johnpedersenphotography.com/blog) if you want to check it out.

I'm looking forward to what I hope will be a real winter, and hopefully a couple of good winter backcountry kiting trips - maybe this time I can sell 'em a whole story instead of just a single photo...

Anyway, Thanks again for the plug.

John.

p.s - have fun in Texas, all you lucky dogs!
