Bill,
Flows are great bindings and I know you will enjoy them. I am a personal friend of the midwest Flow rep so if your not sure you can go talk to the man himself and he will explain everything and it happens that he also owns a snowboard shop in Minnesota called the FL Project in Forest Lake so if your interested in Flows stop in there and talk to Don and say Peter sent you!

Oh you know Don Peter.. nice.. I hope he can spur Flow up here in the midwest. To be honest I think it's to late. I think there patents are close to dropping and all the other binding company's are coping the product. Espically the K2 binding. The shops that sell Flow sell the hell out of them but the "core" shops don't want to have anything to do with them.. not enough big name pro's on the team. But for myself I'll never ride another binding again.
Now did that event happen or what?

The real pro isnt the one who doesn't make a mistake. The real pro is the one that does the best job hiding it!

It never seizes to amaze me that people care about pros and what they do.
The majority of people never will ride to the level of the pros, the design needs are invaribly different. And they're paid to use the product wether they like it or not.
WIndsurfing is a good example of what happens to an industry that develops purely around "pro's". Uptil about 95 they nearly killed the sport.
It took one company , starboard, to change the paradigm and wake up and build boards for non pros. I think it's fair to say they may have saved windsurfing.
I'm pleased that kiting at least does not develop ONLY product that's used by pros. But most of the people developing the product were in the windsurf industry and learned something. Though there were kite "pros" before there was really kiting.
