Just booked my ticket. They didn't have room to return on Nov 25th, so I am only staying from the 16th to the 23rd.

I'll be there Nov 10-30. Paul, Gary and Denny are planning Nov 11-18. I have rooms for rent anytime this winter in my house in Laguna Vista just 4 miles from Holly.

I travel with a big Cabrinha bag that fits all my boards (even my spleen)and kites. I do how ever get charged for it.

Last year Chris B put some of his boards into a nice skinny box and traveled with that way. It seemed to work very well. As a last resort you could just ship it down.

I don't remember what the cost is $40?. I know Chris didn't get charged anything for traveling with his box.

I've been going down twice a year for the last 4-5 years and have never been charged. I used to carry my boards in a snowboard bag, now have a Slingshot board bag. It's just a day bag, but I beef up the padding with pipe insulation on the rails of each board.

I take this bag with my boards, a massive bag with 4-8 kites and I bring my clothing in a tiny bag as a carry on. (shorts and t-shirts aren't too big)

transporting boards to Padre

Post by larryg »

I will be driving my truck and travel trailor leaving Nov 7th or 8th. I'm willing to take anybody's boards or other equipment with me but , as of now, I plan on leaving my truck there and not bringing it back to Minnesota until after my April trip to Padre.

I have quite a few board boxes if anyone wants one to take their boards south. Free for the taking. Thick cardboard.
