Stolen Equipment

Post by Randy »

Yesterday someone took a yellow and black 6.6M Loft sail that was rigged on a Pryde X7 460cm mast and Chinook extension. I suspect it's either decorating a kid's bedroom or the thief is discovering they can't get anything for it from any of the local pawn shops, in which case, they'll either throw it away or seek out anybody who knows anything about windsurfing, which leads me to this post. Charles, Skip, John and any others in the Duluth area, if you hear of something or run across a fellow sailor who got a deal that was seriously 'too good to pass up', maybe you could let me know. Any of you in the windsurf business, you'd probably get the call to see if you'd take it for cash. A license number would be great. The sail had two 1-2' vetical strips of blue duct tape as impromptu sail numbers for the Gorge Blowout and would probably still have glue on it, even after peeling off the tape. Anyway, I know it's a long shot and a reminder that just when I thought it was safe to leave equipment out, due to its novelty, it's probably best to keep it more secure.
