I've been sitting in Wisconsin watching the weather patterns and
making preparations for this voyage. As many of you know this is an
exceptional weather year, luckily for us in Minnesota it's meant
riding 3-4 days a week during a time when we are lucky to get one day
a week. What's it meant for our Lake Michigan crossing is
exceptionally unpredictable wind. The more we research the weather
patterns the more we've come to the realization that later in August
or early September would be a better time slot. The water will also
be at it's warmest.
Having the next month will also allow us to continue to plan and to
continue our search for a boat to FOLLOW us across the lake. We've
identified a few issues we want to try and clarify a bit more as well.
While it is hard putting off the stoke that has been building,
Denis, Chaz and I feel that this is the best option.
Thanks for all your support and input. It will energize this next
leg of preparations.

THANK YOU!!
Mark: Thank you for contributing to the fund raising cause!
Tighe & Denis have the right idea. If it's not 100% right, don't risk it. This is a fund raiser and awareness raiser, after all. While there are never guarantees, we all want things to go off "without a hitch." We want to benefit a great cause and increase the positive visibility of our sport.
Sincerely,
Chaz
