Ended up at Ramsey last night helping a friend setup his new bar and lines. Never made it over to Ruth...did see somene over there with a gold/brown Waroo(?) though. If the wind picks up and stays consistent I may give it a shot after work.

Glad to hear ya got away without the ITCH.

Rutherford Brotherhood!

20+yrs. windsurfing WBL & never knew Rutherford existed. Stopped by to check it out today. GaJerry was waiting for wind to fly his Cabby. Looks like a nice enough launch. I do support & applaud the self imposed Ramsey Kite Ban during the crazy summer months. Great Idea guys!
Hope to soon try out the new strapless wake surfer I picked up at the House today for those "light days." CU/h2o 8) JRN

Way to go Avery. This effort and attitude will help to keep us kiting locally. See you there soon!!

Rather be Rutherford!

Got my 1st rides there today. It was stellar & my 1st incident free kite session on d'Bear! Got to show Diane her tip for boosting while she was out windsurfing. Thanks D. that was the best tip ever! Also got to ride with Avery, GaJerry, but Mike W. was leaving as I got there, & Dave & Denis went out as I left. Nice to have another local alternative so close to home. :D Jim N.

I agree, not kiting out of Ramsey at least until mid August is a good idea, at least when it's those winds of 12-20, a high wind day wouldn't be so bad if the beach is slow because of the wind. I would still caution that Rutherford beach is still not a beginner beach. Just my 2 cents. Jim glad the tip helped. I seen a couple of your jumps, make sure your arms are away from your body more.

Jim, you were looking like a seasoned pro when I left. Nice job blasting up wind out of the launch area-- your time at Mille Lacs has paid off. Welcome to the local scene!

dirty 1/2 dozen

Had a nice turn-out @"d' Rudder." Must have had 6 to 8 kites up at one time. Gets a little crowded with that many. It was the usual gust fest with most flying 9 thru 12's. The crowds were down on the lake: little boat traffic, and lots of room to play once you cleared the bay. I think the WBL jinx I got from Tighe is officially broken..WHEW!! JRN
