A note of thanks and gratitude to all the sailors and kiters that showed up in Wgtn. this past weekend. In the blur of the weekend I seldom get the amount of time I would like to visit and say thanks to all of you that attended and make this weekend a sensory overload!
Early Monday afternoon daughter Hannah and son in law Kevin Jewett took off for Wisconsin and 10 minutes later there was a phone call saying their roof rack collapsed and their equipment was spread all over interstate 90. 2 miles east of Worthington. We took off to assist but by the time we got there most of it was picked up. Everything had a bit of damage and they left Hannahs new F2 in Wgtn and retied everything directly to the roof, with the straps/tie downs going directly thru the car doors.
Lauri and I returned home early afternoon and finished regatta chores... actually went windsurfing, met Craig B. on the water.
Steve B. I owe you that song in the key of G? (its the train song you requested.)...dam...about midnight....I just forgot and went off to bed!
Never saw Tighe? are you sure he was here? Either way.....thanks Tighe for your website and support!
Noah has put up some cool video on both the music and on the windsurfing side of the http://www.worthingtonwindsurfing.com website, check out the "first time sailor" testimonial.
Appreciation to all the new USWA members that registered, your membership gives us a voice & helps us promote the sport.

What a great time in Worthington! Thanks to everyone who hosted this party, this was our second time down in the past four years and it's unreal to drive into town and see bigs signs exclaiming "Welcome Windsurfers!"
I can sympathize with gear transportation issues, this pic doesn't do the mess on top of the car justice. We had to pull over a few times and re-tighten the load cuz at 65mph things tend to shift around! Thank goodness we had a sun roof so my wife could watch and say "Hey it looks like your stuff is about to fly off!"

Regular straps are fine for around town but hitting the freeway with this kind of pile I need to get some heavy duty straps!
I watched the vids by Noah last night and they were great to see cuz they give insight into people and events you might have otherwise missed. And hauling a 21 month old with us we missed all nightlife except the scene at the Travelodge swimming pool
Actually this was all right too!
Did I mention the wind was also great? Thanks again Worthington crew!
PS I had confirmed "Tighe sightings" in town both Sat & Sun, so he was around, just easy to miss I guess!

Common guys I through the biggest brightest kite I have into the air for at least 45 minutes to an hour on Saturday night. How could anyone miss that?
Bill, you streamed by me a few times, but by the time I realized it was you all that was left was the vapor trail. You were quite busy.
Thanks for putting on such a great event. Sorry we didn't get a chance to hook up.

Dan Norman has put up his 2007 Worthington Windsurfing Regatta & Unvarnished Music Festival photos on his website. http://www.danorm.com
While at the regatta, Dan tried to capture some images of all the windsurfers there. So make sure you take a look for yourself in the "individual sailors" sections on his website. If you are looking and can't find yourself, don't fret, Dan still may have gotten a picture of you (he took a LOT of pictures). you can contact him at norman@danorm.com or by calling him at 651-343-3565.
He's been doing this for a while now and I'm sure he'd appreciate it if you supported his efforts. You are able to purchase photos via his website. It was a great weekend and good to see you all there!
Have fun looking at the pics!

ps. also, new videos will continue to be posted as I have time to upload them.
