Ben,

Sadly, no...But I did try to bribe some kayakers into knocking him in for five bucks...

Actually, the contraption he was on is a stand-up paddle board made by Mistral. We tried it out last night at the Midwest Mountaineering boat demo, and it was actually really fun. I'd love to get one as a fitness/recreation tool. Apparently they're using them in Hawaii to paddle out into the surf and then as a longboard for the ride back in. That would be hella fun.

But, as long as I posted the picture, maybe we should all try to come up with some appropriate captions for it, no? I'm sure Coach will have something???

Later,
John.

Hah! ProtegeMenace - great one! Let's keep 'em coming...

Hey Tighe - you don't mind a little lighthearted fun at your expense, do you? I'll buy you a beer at the Expo...

Mybe he's saying "Grabbeth thy kites, dawn ye harnesses, and let us rip it hard this summer!!"

:)
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out and loudly proclaiming. WOW! What a ride!!

I have seen a few of these before and look pretty cool. They are using them to surf on smaller days because you can get into and have fun on waves that you usually wouldnt be able to get into surfing normally.

When I was down in Florida over spring break, I was talking to a guy who got to demo one for a day and say it was a ton of fun for super light wind days to just go mess around with a kite.

WHAT WOULD TIGHE DO? Perhaps this is the recomended method for herding fish....Sheepshead are purportedly in great abundance in Calhoun.
To quote the good book," I am the shepherd, where the flock are my sheep?" :? JRN
