Rigging a Cambered Sail- Need Help!!!

Post by Fred MPL »

I am pretty new to windsurfing, and I have never had a cambered sail.

I just bought a used Neil Pryde RX-1 8.4M sail last Fall but never had the chance to rig it until today.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to even come close to rigging it. The cambers kept slipping off the mast. Even with the help of my two brothers-in-law, we couldn't figure it out.

Is anyone able to provide a step-by-step of how to rig this thing? It would be much appreciated :D

Ezzy has a very good video which shows how to rig one of their cambered sails. It is specific to Ezzy, but I can't image it is much different for NP.

Giving Jeff A. a call will no doubt be your best bet Fred, but check the Neil Pryde website under 'archives' and they have videos of rigging NP sails online. Maybe they still have one for the RX1?

Cheers,

Thanks guys for the videos. As soon as I watched those, I was able to figure out how to "snap" the cams into place. Very much appreciated!

Jeff, thanks for offering to help out.
