Ice is melting. need help choosing hood/booties
Hey everyone. It looks like the ice is about to go down here in La Crosse and i was hoping you could suggest a good hood or set of booties for the cold water. I'm looking mostly for a good price since i'm pretty much broke. Does anyone know of a store that is having any sales right now? Any info you could give me would be great! Thanks!

For your head I recomend the promotion beane. I think thats what its called. Its much more comfortable and stylish than the hoods. Its just a nylon coverd fleece stocking cap, doesn't go under your chin so you won't get as much face protection. but its always kept me warm and has only fallen of once. It's usually $20.
For boots I liked the Okespores 5ml cause of the fit, they never got in the way, but they didn't last that long. Now I have Neilpryde witch have big rubber fronts witch are holding up good but I trip on them all the time. I'd like to find a good compromise in boots, not to bulky but still durable.

Booties - Oke's are nice but they don't last. Pro-Limit makes some nice round and split toe boots. Windance.com has them on sale.
Hood - If you're wearing a drysuit just a hood or the promo beanie is good but I've always really like the one piece hood-vest combo. Much warmer and you don't get any water flushed down your back. Promotion makes them and Bare might still make them as well.
Sean - where in La Crosse would you ride from? "Lake" Onalaska?
