Liquid force luxury bindings

Post by Clout026 »

Does anyone have a set of these I just ordered a pair and they seem impossible to set up. The bolts aren't long enough to get through the strap and the plate into the board and the strap itself. They sent extra hardware but its the same length as the other bolts. It took my roomate and I almost an hour to get one on and that was without the heelstrap and the arch is way to high to hold my feet tightly even with straping down what you can. In addition to the bolt length the plate only seems to allow the binding to be perpendicular to the board or an inward stance (and no i'm not mounting them wrong foot). Has anyone else had these problems. Any advice on how to get these things together.

I have the luxury kit. Besides having to fight with them a little bit i didn't have any of the same problems you are describing. I would call Ocean extreme sports. They always take tons of time to answer all the questions I have. The number is 1-866-790-SURF. I'm not trying to pimp them or anything, they have just been very good to me. They also have a forum on their website just for helping out with this kind of stuff. Good luck!

Try asking Scott Rideout. I think he's a local rep for LF.

Scott you know that's no longer true, I've sent you numerous emails explaining the new system. The new system implemented about a month ago has lots less restrictions for commercial postings. The only requirement is if you have ties to a manufacturer(s) you identify that in your signature (as described in the top posting Getting Started). Currently you are the only rider that I am aware of who has chosen to not honor that. Personally I think you're doing your brand a disservice to not let people know you are the go-to dude for LF gear advice.

If LF wants to use Lakawa to promote their product line, through you or otherwise, it would be nice if they supported what we are doing, see the side bar to the right, but not required.

sorry for the confusion

yeah, it's that simple. You might want to spell out Liquid Force since not everyone knows what LF is. Your call

to make it easier on yourself if you add that to your signature in your profile it will get added automatically so you don't have to do it each time.

thanks

I added that to my signature block in my profile, so then it should show up when I post, is there anything else I need to do? I noticed Scuba Center was on the Right hand column, when did this happen?

So back to the bindings then, you need to pull the bindings apart into two pieces and install each side one at a time. You will find that if you actaully try and put the bindings on when they are together almost impossible, I have a new pair that I got with my new 151 proof and they were hard to put on also, just work em a little and they will go on, once you connect both sides put the arch side back into the other velcored side that's the adjustment. They seem stiff but the first time you use them it paradise! any other questions you can call me at work at 952-918-8631 6:00am to 3:00 pm. or at home at 763-712-1347 after 7pm.

You're good to go. Thanks for doing that.

Scuba Center showed their support almost immediately after the system went up. It just took a bit for us to get the content hammered out.

I encourage anyone who would like to support what we are doing to make a donation. It's really appreciated. Click Here for more details

Scott,
For kiteboards I only have an Underground Wavetray 147(i think?). Anyways, the Wavetray that everyone was copying back around in '02.
Also, I have a LF Shane 136 wakeboard from '06. I was thinking of getting some Luxury bindings to put on the Shane in hopes of having a smaller board for higher winds. the kite i will be using this summer is a 12M TD i bought from Mike B. I assume the Luxury bindings will fit on the wakeboard but do you think this will work for a kiteboard?

Andy, actually the Mission 144 kiteboard is very similar to LF's wakeboards, the bindings will fit it's just a matter of the ability of the board to perform with the kite? I would at least try it it just might work for you, people have different riding abilities so the board might work for you and might not, I say put the bindings on it and give it a try.
