unexpected session

Post by drknap »

Saw flags taunt on the north side of owasso on my way home. Stopped and got 18mph on the meter. Surface was still 75% covered with snow. Quickly rigged the 10 m bularoo and got a decent 30min session with some boosts and rolls. Wind dropped down to around 12mph for another 30 min for some casual reaches. Always feels good to score an unexpected session. Anyone else get out today? WBL/ramsey probably would have been good.

How safe are the lakes after the thaw?

I assumed the season was over.

It sucks, right as I get home for spring break and finally have time and a place to kite, the stupid weather skyrockets to 60 and melts all the snow :(

I guess I should go drill bush lake and see how it is tomorrow, maybe its not too late.

I caught it as the wind was going up and down but generally down. Just got some medium speed runs. Luck would have it though after I came in around 6:30pm got supper going the wind just smoked and brought a snow squall. Then went down a bit and is cooking in the dark now, Duhoo!!

There's 1.5 to 2 feet of ice down here. Not the strongest ice cause all the water seeped thru it but would probably still hold a vehicle. I used skiis today VS the preferred board since there's lot's of ice patches between the snow. If it's stay below 40 and little sun it will last a long time but typically the first week of April it's out.

Ride On!
ENJOY :) ........... Bill
