Great day at Waconia - Photos...

Post by jp_photog »

Greetings all,

I was able to make it out to Waconia for about an hour yesterday and after hurrying Nathan and Denis through their respective set up routines, grabbed a few shots. What a perfect day! I wish I could have stayed and shot more as well as done some kiting. Just watching you guys (and John Z.) slicing through the powder was putting a smile on my face. It's too bad the bills were calling, cause I would way rather have shot kiting than state wrestling (no offense to wrestling...)

I've posted some photos to gander at on my archive site which you can find at the following address:

just scroll down a bit and you'll find the "recent galleries" link on the left.

Have a great day, and maybe I'll see you out there soon! Oh, also - the colors are a bit off, but I was really tired when I posted them last night and forgot to convert the colors for the web. Ooops.

Nice shot...I was in pregnancy classes 9-5 both days this weekend. I kept looking outside at the blue bird sky and wishing i was out shooting. Talk about the best weekend of the recent years for photos. Glad you got out.

Dude as always, your photos rock. Love what the light was doing with the airborn snow and I assume whatever lens you were using. Groovy effect.

Thanks everyone,

It was an awesome day, to be sure. I wish I could take credit for how cool the snow looked, but it was all mother nature. The really fine-grained snow, coupled with fairly cool temps that kept it from glopping together was the catalyst I guess. I was just laying in the snow trying to remember the last time that we've had such good snow, and I couldn't pin it down. Then, I'd get shaken out of my reverie when some crazy wind-propelled addict would come booking my way, all full of Kodak Courage...and hopped up on adrenaline.

At any rate, I hope to get out again this week - apparently Nathan B. has some sweet terrain that needs a little more exploration...

Have a great day -

You're joking right Buck?

All professional photographers place watermarks on their photos. That's how they make their living. Don't know any business that gives their product away for free unless it is for promotional purposes.

I think we're exceptionally lucky to have so many shots being taken of us by such talented photographers. Thanks guys.
