Live from Montana!

Post by Denis »

We have quite a Minnesota crew here. Eric P, Mike B, Chris B, Nathan B, Steve B, Hunter and his dad, John L and me. whew! Friday was great riding on the terrain on Mt Haggin. Saturday we had the kiter cross. Chris B finished 3rd and Mike B finished 4th in Men's pro-ski. I finished 4th and Eric finish 7th in Men's pro-snowboard. We are going for another great day on Mt Haggin today.

During the event, we had the chance to check out the action from the guys from Norway. Bjorn on skis, Claes on Snowboard and Morton on camera. They are making a follow up to Entropy so we got to check out all the crazy handle pass tricks. Claes was throwing down back Mobe's, KGB and kiteloop to handle pass. Bjorn was boosting huge and doing F16's to deadman land blind as well as KGB's on skis.

A great time, lots of smiling faces. An awesome events. Kudo's to the Montana crew!

What a great time, if you can get to the Rodeo you have to do it.
The Montana crew go out of their way to make sure you have a good time.
For me watching Bjorn was the highlight of the trip, amazing skills in the air with superb kite control, often he would land from a horizontal spinning upside down, backwards kiteloop something or other with no hands on the bar, or backwards. After packing my kite I sat and just watched him for 30 minutes it was enthralling. No wonder he was the world champion last year, to add to it all he was remarkably smooth and everything was graceful and effortless. The highlight of the trip for me without a doubt.

The cowgirl contest at the bar got interesting. Lets just say it turned into a raunchy version of Coyote Ugly. :) You will have to get the details in person…this is a family forum.

If you look hard enough some guys taped it and will be up on You Tube soon.

Just wanted to say how fun this event was too. Just got back from MT. Got another day of kiting in at Mt. Hagin (and some resort skiing in). What a fun place to kite. Hope everyone had fun up at the crossing this weekend and got the details about the cowgirl contest. :o
