I was gonna go but then I thought to myself "what about possibly not getting on Twin Cities TV or the newspaper?"

Sure, you might hit the media at Mille Lacs, especially next weekend, but lately it seems locals are scoring big time.

Latest I've seen was about five minutes ago on Ch 11 News. Think it was Tonka and looked like an SS kite and skis. So now in addition to gear costs, think about saving a few $$ to hire an agent! 8)

Somebody will hopefully have a more appropriate response to this post. I am planning to be at Kite Island even if the media doesn't show (I will chew my agent's behind tho!). If people do hit Mille Lacs this wkd a latest surface condition report would be very much appreciated by many in the metro I imagine!

Yes, what are the conditions up at Millie?

Thanks,

from what I here it is mostly ice. the lakes down on the SW metro are probibily the best in the state. waconia is the only one (that I know of) that has a BIG area of compleetly bonded snow... no sliping out on a snowboard
