Level II Kite Clinic

Post by Tighe »

We have expanded the scope of the Kite Clinic to include more advanced kiter instruction. If you are still doing down winders, having trouble staying upwind, looking to get more from your jumps/transitions etc. This is your opportunity. Benefit from group rates and a ride or two back upwind, plus expert level instruction. There will even be some kites available if your gear isn't quite big enough ( availability is first come first serve).

When: This weekend. Whichever day looks windier
Where: Mille Lacs
Cost: Varies depending upon your needs.

Tighe,

Looking at a couple of forcasts you may have NE winds 10-20 on 6/7
& SE 10-20 on 6/8 for your clinic. Either way might be nice up on that shallow sandy area near Garrison. Giving you side to side-on kiting. I am thinking of kiting up there on my own if the weather holds up. If I do, I'll lend you hand if you ever need it.

Thinking of trying out my 15.5 Psycho on the water, and Garrison's shallow water would seem to be the right place for that, in case I have some sort of "cluster*&%#@" with the Psycho.

What Forecasts are you looking at? The MOS looks like 6 knots to me...Glanced at Mason Cty, and it looks more like 12 to 15 down there...
what's the low end wind speed threshold for holding a clinic? I suppose too much wind might be a challenge for a NEWBIE...Can Pat T. or the slingchics or someone pleeeze dance thru a fire NAKED?! It worked last week. :D 8) :!:  Would a Barbie Doll in an Ashtray count?
