Is there going to be rideable snow on Milly tomorrow? If there is I'm going to go early. Anyone else planning? Where?

We road near the casino today. There was a little rain and the wind was steady at about 10. There was about 2-3 inches of wet snow over slick ice. It was hard to hold an edge on a regular snowboard. I was able to cruise around by maintaining a controlled sideslip but edging hard or loading for jumps was out of the question. Eric was doing a little better with the switchblade. We were going to spend the night, but when the rain started we decided to head back. If it gets cold enough maybe the snow will bond to the ice. Otherwise bring skis or a switchblade.

It was great to see everybody riding today, but Tighes daughter with Tighe instructing put on the best show. She was using every kind of body english to control her little 2meter foil. Wish I had a video, it was really cute. I think I saw her progress to skis later on! I bet were gonna have a good little rider joining us pretty soon.

If it dosn't stop raining soon we'll have a slushy instead of a lake by morning. Really raining hard right now. I'm thinking Monday will be totally epic if the snow comes in after this rain and the temperatures drop. I can't wait. I'll give an updated reprot in the morning. Peace

I can be ready to roll by 7am. Just want to know where to meet.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out and loudly proclaiming. WOW! What a ride!!

What to you think? Are conditions going to be worth the commute? Looks like more wind in the cities.

As of 1 am the Brained lakes area still has medium to heavy rain falling and it is making a mess of things.

What a season!

Dont come up here it's a total slush fest on the lakes. It must have rained alot last night to get all the show to melt. Totally sucks. It's snowing rignt now, but what we really need is a little bit colder temps. All the snow that's falling right now is just melting on the slush.

thanks for the update Eric. Nathan thanks for your report as well. I was up at 0630 and ready to roll but all things considered too unfavorable of odds today for me to leave wife and kids home alone. I hope others got lucky
