I've just been using Dakine gloves, gloves are tough aren't they, every time I see a pair I think will be good , I get em try em and something won't be right. Slips too much on the bar, rolls around on your hand, take the glove off to do something with the lines and the inner liner pulls out and won't go back in properly.etc.etc.
The DKs I've found the most consistant for my hands, but I'm sure it's like boots, a good glove is different for everyone because of the fit issues.
Good Luck.

Kurt, check out Gander Mountain for Manzella "Patrol" gloves. They are waterproof, leather palm. ski gloves with articulated fingers and gauntlet cuff. For more mild temps go to Sportsman's Warehouse and check out the insulated, waterproof. leather palmed work gloves. I bought both pairs for less than $70 total and they are way better than the Marmot gloves I paid $90 for.
I love my big dumb granite gear choppers. They're easy to take off for fixing lines and keep my fingers warm without the excesive sweeting issues of super insulated gloves. The light padding on the palm also helps get a good grip on the bar. When your riding you don't really need the use of your fingers. At least this way my hands are warm and dry. When I do need to fix something, I just take off the mits and fix it.

warmest gloves ever, hands down (obviously mittens are going to win that battle, but if you're looking for gloves...): http://burton.com/ProductDetail.aspx?pid=339 (now, my hands don't usually get cold, but in 20yrs snowboarding these are the only ones that I absolutely never have had to put my hand in a fist inside the glove on the chairlift)
very low profile, leather palm, hand warmer pocket on the back, Goretex XCR so you've got the breathable/dry thing covered too...kinda spendy, but if you check around town I bet anyone that ordered them will have them on sale in a week or two.

I go to Menards and pick up two pairs of cheap but warm gloves. I've found (after 15yrs of boarding) that the more expensive brands ex. Dakine => Burton get sliced after doing repetitive board grabs.
I just can't see paying $30 $80 for gloves any more.
Plus, it's always nice to put on a pair of fresh ones after the other ones get soaked with sweat.
Invest in a good pair of liners though...
Rock out, and pray for snow!
Arghhhhhhhhhh!!!!
