Kiting? No. Bad idea at Bellaire on a N, NNW. Once the wind passes NW, it won't work well at all.

There are a few other tricky launches, so I won't even go into them. You're best bet on this direction is to try Waconia or somewhere else.

Sorry, hate to be the bearer of bad news.

How about windsurfing? Which launch would you recommend for today on WBL?

If it's NW both Bellaire and Mahtomedi beach will work. Mahtomedi will be better if the wind directions is more Northerly.

Just got back to work from WBL following a very long lunch hour
session.. too tired to sheet in any more.

Wo Billy, can you spell gusty? When the gusts came though hang on
and you'd get a sustained ride just til the jibing point, turn around and..
ok, so we get to wait for the next one. Then yee hah..

Nice big crowd today with the parking lot at Bellaire full.. a good crew,
sunshine and wind; can't beat it!

Conditions ranged from 5.0 to 6.5. The waves never really lined
up to get some swell riding going, but at least it wasn't that evil
voodoo chop we had last Thursday..

All in all a very fine day!
