Ice sesh in Cologne

Post by DRA »

Just scored my first ice sesh with hockey skates. I wore my wakeboard vest and had the spikes. The black ice was 3 inches and it never cracked at all. The lake was Benton in Cologne. I was powered on my 18 BFK,
couldn't believe I was able to fly in almost no wind at the end of sesh.
Super Stoked

will do.

I think the fields just north of Hector airport will work great, not too far, no trees upwind, flat, but some small hills/bumps if you want.

Awesome Terry- score!

Where is this lake?
How close does one have to go from the twin cities to find rideable ice?

I think your taking about this 'pond'

http://www.angelfire.com/zine2/jjohnson ... onpond.htm

http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&om=1&z= ... 9,0.058537

That little bit of water freezes fast in the winter and thaws fast in the spring.
