I'm with Nancy, I wish that the crossing and Birkie didn't coincide.

I don't think they coincide at all, one events fun, exciting and a bit of a workout, the other is pain, agony and misery. I don't see any conflict as far as what I want to do.
But my sicko better half seems to enjoy that kind of stuff, no wonder I can't keep her happy
she thinks barfing lungs, screaming muscles and frostbite is fun

the x-ing is going to be my first kite event. I made a vow to myself last year when i got my first kite i'ld be ready for it. I'm not looking to win anything just to have a decent time for the race. "legs dont fail me now".
wind is my crack "SO GIVE IT TO ME I NEED IT...
come on just one more knot".

Wide OPEN!!
Holy Moley, I leave town for a week & the 1st quote from the "Screaming
Thighs & Dragging Knuckles" pair is an open invitation! So, here goes...
Duh, get together & do what?
Rob has all the skills, etc, but
I've strictly been concentrating on developing the "Prick-Quotient!" Practice, practice,practice...Switch hands...JRN

That's what so nice about this race. On the right side of the luminaries it's groomed for skating about 15 yards wide. On the left side of the luminaries they lay down 5-6 tacks for diagnol skiing. The last group to go out are the snow shoers.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out and loudly proclaiming. WOW! What a ride!!
Nancy, the cool thing about this race course is that the right side of the luminaries is groom for skating and the left side is groomed with 5-6 tracks for classic skiing. The snow shoers are the last to go.
