Kiting slideshow at Midwest Mountaineering Expo - 11/11/06

Post by jp_photog »

Greetings all,

I just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know that Denis Foo Kune, Nathan Borer, Tighe Beldon and myself will be giving a little slideshow/seminar at the Midwest Expo this weekend. I'll copy the program description below.

Thanks, and I hope to see lots of you there - the Expo really should be on your schedule if you enjoy nearly any kind of winter sport.

Saturday, November 11th. Noon, Room 180 at the Humphrey Institute behind Midwest Mountaineering.

From the Voyageurs to Lewis and Clark:
Kiting the lands and waters of the great explorers

Minneapolis freelance photographer John Pedersen has photographed
adventure sports including kiting around the midwest and beyond -
including some pretty crazy road trips. Join John and local kiters
Tighe Belden, Nathan Borer and Denis Foo Kune as they relive in
photos and stories two great kiting trips. In a two-part slideshow
and discussion, seminar participants will learn about a winter back
country kiting trip to Voyageurs National Park and a summer 'kite-
safari' through the plains of North Dakota. Expect to pick up some
tips on where to find the best conditions, proper gear and bits of
local trivia. Both kiters and non kiters are welcome, just bring your
sense of adventure!

What time is the presentation? Is it on Friday or Sat? I've already got tickets for the Banff Film fest on Sat. night.
I haven't been able to go to the film fest for the last two years since I moved from Montana. Pretty excited to see the film fest makes a stop in Mineapolis and is part of a outdoor expo.

John,

Sorry, I forgot to post it at first. I edited my earlier post to show the time and location.

The film fest is awesome. I'm sorry I have to miss it.

Hope to see you there!

John.
