Where is the best place in the twins, to get cold weather gloves, boots and mask for the fall riding? I'd like to get out today, but first need to go buy some thicker rubber . Thanks
Terry
I just bought the Palm Classic dry suit $350 and NRS Gloves 3mm $30 at midwest mountaineering. I would bring what you intend to wear (polar fleece ) undearneath and any other boots gloves and get fitted there, the dry suit is a full bag as they call it.
The house has the bear drysuit with a neoprene bottom for $440.
A neoprene hat that makes you look like an aviator dude is a good idea for safety in cold weather, I 've had one for years.
Always figure could I swim float to shore with this gear if necessary. The answer always has to be yes.
The second question is can you enjoy the conditions with the gear you have.
Good idea to get life jackets for this time of year. A lot of your energy gets burned by your body trying to stay warm, it's amazing how much faster you tire out when it's cold. Being able to float without effort can be a life saver.
Change in plans, Jon and I might head to the UP or Wis. point area.
Probably leave Friday evening and stay at Duluth. There getting some great lake effect snow, should be perfect for the rock skis!!!!!!!!!!
