Just found out that Thrifty Outfitters (above Midwest Mtn) replaces seals for $20. I assume that is per seal so it would be around $100 for a full seal replacement, but that's still a steal.

Just had a neck seal done...Two weeks ago at midwest $26 for the seal $24 to put it on.

They did a great job 36 hr. turnaround.

Don just got his done there, He showed me the bill and I think it was $12 for each cuff seal $26 for the neck and $45 for the labor. I need to replace the cuffs on mine. Might try it myself I've heard aslong as you get all the old adhesive cleaned off real well with acetone and rough up the rubber. It will hold good.

davec is correct.
I just got mine back this past week. It took 1 week for the repair. They (Thrifty Outfitters (above Midwest Mtn)) had said it might take 10 days for the repair. The cost was $12/cuff $26 neck, and $45 for the complete repair. Very good quality and repair job.

Great to know of a local repair shop for the seals.

The bottle of silicone to maintain the seals of my Polar Bear quickly ran out. I switched to Armor All to keep seals pliable. I noticed with Armor All used, it is easier to enter/exit drysuit, because the seals are slippery. Will using this product harm the seals

Not sure about the prices there - For me in April, it was $110 total for the arms and legs.

The end result, however, was better than the original Ocean Rodeo.

Hey Jerry, Where did you get "The bottle of silicone" ?
I need to get some. Does the Armor All have silicone in it?

I used to use a silicone that had a UV protecter in it, the seals would look and feel brand knew after putting it on. I'd get it at midwest watersports and I think it was the Barefoot brand. Make sure you don't use any thing that is petruleum based cause it can do more harm than good.

The House sells wetsuit adhesive. I did my own cuffs and collar: Clean surfaces. Stretch sleeve over 1 liter pop bottle & apply adhesive. Roll 1/2
inch of the cuff back and stretch it over the bottle. Put glue on the rolled back portion and carefully roll it over the sleeve end, to mate both glued surfaces. Wrap the seam tightly with masking tape and let dry overnight.
A little alcohol will remove any excess. Make sure to practice good posture as you wave to the "chicks" in the chase boat.

JN P.S: I think I used a cookie canister to do the neck.
