Kiting in Southern California

Next week I am going to Los Angeles (bringing my kiting gear,too).Anybody have any experience or information on locations, launches,links to kite forums in LA or San Diego?

Saul, I was just kiting out there in August. I was in LA for 4 days, but only enough wind on one of those days to get out. Topanga Beach just south of Malibu is the spot to go if you are in LA. Lots of rocks on the beach at low tide, so bring your booties. Wherever you are, check in with a lifeguard station before you rig to make sure you are in a spot where kiting is allowed.

For wind, I would keep an eye on Ikitesurf. It is in the ballpark.
