Mother Superior
Another Superior session coming up. Thursday and Friday look very favorable for sailing at the Tot Lot and Wisconsin Point, probably more so that the last big session you guys had a couple weeks ago while I was out of town…
Winds to 30 knots Thursday late and Friday early. The wind has already clocked around and is building. Should be a good blow – I have confidence in this one.

Hope to get out by mid to late afternoon. Please post where you'll be going. Tot lot was kinda gnarly for me in on shore winds! Is it a little tamer on the points?
JN P.S: When U guys decide where to ride call my cell:612 619 0242. Thanx!

For those of you thinking about staying in Duluth there is a great campground near WI point. Camping at WI point is technically not allowed, but for 17 bucks you can camp at a place with showers, a hot tub, and pool, and even a little bar. It's located just off of Hwy 13 in WI probably about 3 miles from Moccasin Mike Road. Take the HWY 13 exit and it's about 1/2 on your left. I think it was called Northland Campground or something like that. We stayed there and I highly recommend it.

Guys -
its cranking right now - looks like it may be today only, forcast for Friday has backed off a bit... I'm stuck in a motel in Roseau but hope to get back early enough to sail late afternoon at the Tot Lot.
The Tot Lot is the place we sail because the wave are the most manageble. The further down the point, the more difficult it is to get out. I have not tried WI point so can't advise on that - other than you have the "settling pond" inside the piers that you can use if it gets really crazy!
See you this afternoon!

Dawn Patrol was good
I have a full day, so I met a buddy down at Barker's and we sailed at about 6 AM. Nice solid 18-20 knots. It was great to watch the sunrise while sailing. Now I'm at work and booked through the evening, but will be doing another dawn patrol tomorrow if the wind is still cooperating.
