Share, rent, or lend equipment?

Post by Piotr »

My nephew will be visiting with me till the end of September, and he wants to try windsurfing. I cannot justify buying a set of equipment for him, and the ideal solution would be rental or borrowed equipment. I know there are no rental places here. Anybody has a spare board with rig that they would be willing to share/lend/rent for some time? Quality and size (experience) is not an issue (since I can potentially ride it and give him mine large board), but I do not want to spend much money on that. The only thing that I have to spare is a couple of sails, so these are not required, although welcome.

Anybody has anything that they would be willing to share, lend, or rent?

Thanks a lot,

Piotr

If nobody else offers anything. let me know. I've got old & heavy boards that I'd be happy to let you use. Use me as a last resort though... my gear is all older and not up to modern standards. :-)

I also have an 80's alpha board and rig with a 5.0. Also have a prehistoric whaler board with one piece mast and connect extension. It's like 50lbs and unbreakable, but a pain to move. The alpha is also plastic so no worries. The alpha is a inbetween board with daggerboard. Pretty good learner board. They are old, but still do their job. Post if you want to use one or both. Jenny
