I was wondering if I should make the trek to Washington or stay at Waconia. I ended up having the Wac to myself on the north side. Nice, shallow, sandy and weedy. Had a great time until I got 2 inches of my board inside my leg. I am now banned from the lake for 7 days until my stitches heal up.

Looks like Sunday and Monday are going to be great! Too bad I'll have to watch from the side lines. Have fun wherever the wind blows.

Protege, what are you talking about? You've got Bankers hours!!! You can kite or sail everyday if you want. You just need to get used to 4-5 hours of sleep when you go and ride (either before or after depending on the forecast). The graveyard shift RULES! I never want to work during the day again. Adjust the sleep pattern and go riding.

I'd probably kill myself if I did that, my brain barely functions without 7+ hours of sleep :X and it gets really hard to stay awake at work when I only get 4 hours of sleep.

I get off work at noon, maybe I'll head out to waconia and see if I can get up onto my modified wakeboard for the first time

yeah, that sounds pretty bad Denis. You've had your share of injuries this summer. Hope you recover in time for the great fall winds.

Dennis sorry for no rescue. I was sailing up wind & notice you were not on the water any more on north end. I should have come looking for you when you did not sail back up wind. I wondered but kept sailing. I should have ckecked on you.
Sorry again !!

All my injuries seem to be related to moves with the kite low and crashing with the board in front of me. That means that I am coming in on a hard object with plenty of speed.

This time my foot came off of my foot straps when I was initiating an S-Bend. When I landed, I instictively put my board underneath me but my foot went in the water right behind it and I hit my shin on my board. I ripped off a chunk of the underside suface that ended up lodged in my leg. Come to think of it, I should have shaken the board off while I was in the air.

Don, no worries. I was close to shore so I just rode and landed. A guy there gave me a ride back to my car and showed me where the ER was. I am such a wimp, I almost passed out when they were injecting the anestetic.

Milly looks good too. Can't beat the smooth winds there.

Milly was GREAT! Berry and I had Malmo all to ourselves. Looked like a few were down at ready. Looked like it was good down there too.
