Blastin' on D'Bear!

Post by JRN »

Had a good showing of windsurfers at Bellaire. Small to medium boards & sails , and super gusty. Overpowered to slogging and back again in
milli seconds. Had to have been a dozen or more sailors. A couple of kiters showed just as I pulled out...Maybe they'll post their outcome. JIM N

Based on Mike W's post I see it was a bit too W for St. Mary's. Readings were 320 degrees to 340 at Blaine Airport. I'm guessing the St. Croix needs 350-360 (like last Thursday) to really turn on. Glad I chose Bellaire.

Started out gusty but I took a reach up to the gap. Conditions changed for the better once I got there. Seems like everyone left and the wind picked up and filled in between Manitou Island and Mahto - fully powered 4.5/78 liter board back n' forth :D
