Was looking @ Birdsnest. Said they'd stopped production on all inflateables due to probs w/ mfgr! Wow!

I think I heard that to on the internet. It was somthing like the glue they used on the dacron seams making the latex bladders fail premature. bad.

Yeah, bummer. But I have not seen anything relating to poor construction, glue issues, etc... as the reason for the stop in production.

There's a lot of speculation but I don't know if anyone has come out with the exact reasons. It sounds like they are going to try and move production elsewhere as they are having problems getting their kites made in a timely manner.

Oh, well. Love my Rapture2 12 and I'll keep flying it. I've had it out seven times and have not had any issues.

I have a Rap 2 9m. No construction problems thus far. Love the kite. Maybe I should pack it away. May be worth some money as an antique some day (like the Tucker). Most likely not. I'll keep flying it. Sure sad to see them stop. I liked the company's personality. Bill Hansen provided many useful insights into design decisions. Great guy. Plus, I had great support from them, even though others have complained a bit.
