Friday Options: The Choice Could be Clear

Post by Mike W »

Clear Lake is looking tempting for a windsurfing session today.

Cloudy. A chance of snow showers until mid-morning. Brisk. High in the upper 30s. North winds 20 to 25 mph. Gusting to 35 mph. Chance of snow 30 percent.

Otherwise, I would consider a kiting session on Calhoun or WB, but there is not much snow and it looks pretty windy. I guess I am not overly enthusiastic about this option.

Anyone up for Clear? How about Hudson? N of the bridge would work on a N wind for a flatwater session.

Hmmm...Maybe I should just skip it and work today.

Any thoughts?

I'm itching to get out as well though non of the options are that tempting. The snow probably stuck to the ice since it was rain turning to snow, so the lakes might not be too bad. It gonna be windy. Will the snow last till tomorrow, when the sun comes out and the winds are a bit less?

You sure Calhoun is still safe?

HMMM?

I think the ice is getting questionable. Probably most prudent to wait.

The WB webcam is showing some pretty poor snow conditions:
