Any one know if the rain got that far north, and what the surface of sturgeon is like?

I will make the trip for snow on Saturday anywhere from Sturgeon up to Island Lake. Grand Lake near Saginaw may be another option in that area.
The Sailflow forcast for Mille Lacs (east 10-12) looks good. I wish I knew more about the surface. Although, the Duluth area forcast looks even better (east 12-15+)
Let's figure out the best option and make it a party! I'm leaning toward the Duluth area.
If anyone has conditions info, please post or call me on my cell. 651-343-2469

Kited on Sturgeon today...snow was decent until about 2:00, then it deteriorated quickly to standing water...I would keep driving and head to Duluth.
