Swede Lake????

Post by Tighe »

Anyone checked this lake out recently? It usually freezes pretty early. Steve said Cedar (WI) froze a few nights ago...obviously not ridable for a bit yet. Any other choices? I'm thinking the polo fields, but the wind is looking real light for the weekend statewide.

West of you dudes between Hutch and Dassel are Lakes Jenny,Spencer, Pigion and Washington which are ice covered with 1-1 1/2" snow on top. :) Snow is not adhered well enough to ice surface yet for standard edges of boards yet. A SwitchBlade added to a snowboard will allow riding in any condition. Ice varys in thickness on each lake and is not safe. Ride with caution.

Wind is still a major ingredient needed. :(

I think that the polo fields are gonna be where its at for a little bit. Hopefully we will have some riding time sunday. It looks like it might be windy enough then.

the polo fields are 13 miles north of waconia. there is grass under the snow, some rocks definitly use your beat up skis. yesterday there was 2-4 inches of snow on the ground. it could get a litle more tonight :D

the fields are a litle northeast of the star. from the star take 92 north to turner road and go east. and it's on the south side of the road. might be hard to find if no kiters are present
