Everyone is more than welcome this weekend. It should be a good time had by all. I talked to the farm manager and he has no problems with us using his sod for some "good clean fun" as he would put it. The wind looks good for saturday, so come up and play on a real field, none of this small soccer field stuff. give me a call for directions (320) 684-2055.

do you guys 'boost' on the land-boards or is it too dangerous? that sounds like a good environment to learn kite control. i'll be up there clearing trees for a septic this weekend, is it possible i could stop by and check it out if i get time? i don't have a kite, but am thinking about getting set up, too many days pass where windsurfing is tame at best and kiters are rockin'!

Eric: I think I met you last Friday at F.H., I was the first windsurfer to show at the park. i'll jot down your number and possibly give you a jingle for directions to come and watch the activities if you don't mind... :)

TJ, i didn't find your pump. It might still be out there, but I didn't see it. hopefully scott can bring you one of his. It should be a great day tomorrow. I might have to go to Father Hennipen for some water action on sunday. It's looking good. here's directions for anyone who wants to kite this weekend. This is a great place to learn to fly.

Form Malmo:

Continue on 47 north for 15 miles. The road will turn directly west. Turn right on county road 5. This is a gravel road. Drive on 5 for 1 mile and the road will seam to turn right, but don't take it. Follow the smaller road straight, over the railroad tracks and continue for one more mile. On the left is a sign for Sampson farms sod operations, take that road until it hits the huge sod field. That's where we'll ride.

From 169:

Continue on 169 threw garrison, tward Aitkin. Highway 47 South is just as you enter Aitkin, take that to the right. Drive on 47 for 7 miles until you get to county road 5. Turn left and follow the directions above.

I'll have my frenzy out there as well for any beginners who want to feal some real power. Hope to see you out there.

In regards to boosting on land, check out this video. Just as on the water and snow, its all what you want to make of it. Some days the conditions are better for small kites and carving, some days its perfect for big kites and hucking :D

Seems as though there is not a surface on this planet that kiters can't dominate!

you missed it man. The wind wasn't great but we still had an unbelivable time. I'm heading to the field for another dose tomorrow. Screw that cola water stuff, the sod in great. I'm going to put up a new post to get the whole crew up here tomorrow. The wind is looking great and the field couldn't be better. I want to work on my land boosting. Hope to see you up here.
