Best Yarga 5th line setup
I purchased a new Yarga with this new 5th line setup and kickbar upgrade kit. not sure exactly how it should be tuned as my old kites are 2000 Aeros. i'm new to the area but want to get out on my new setup this next weekend if possible. if anyone has any experience with this setup it would be awesome to be able to run thru it and even put the kite up in light winds. thanks, Andy
Andy, Chris and/or I can help you out. I generally take the early afternoon shift at WBL when there is wind. Chris usually shows up about when I am leaving to take the late afternoon shift.
Basically, if you pump up the kite and flip it on its leading edge and connect all the lines, the 5th line should have a bit of slack in it when the bar is sheeted out and there is tension on the power lines. If you don't have a cleat for sheeting the 5th, just leave it like that.
Hope to see you out there this week.

Andy, the 17m is a nice size around here. You will use it a ton, probably more than any other size. With a sheetable 5th line, you can flatten it out when the wind comes up for even more upper end range.
Having said that, we are now in one of our windier periods of the year. Plenty of 9-12m sessions to be had between now and Thanksgiving.
