Harness

I've always gone with Dakine products (http://www.dakine.com/). They are robust and stand stand behind their gear. There are three types of harnesses, seat (think diaper), waist (think wide cumberbun), and those that are a seat/waist combo (think cumberbun with leg straps).
I personally like the Thermoform waist harness. I ride a bit more upright on my board, with shorter lines and throw the sail around a lot when riding swell. If you are into hiking out and speed blasting you may want a seat or a combo (like the XT). The seat/combo harnesses allow you to roll your weight forward in a lull to keep your board level and on a plane maybe a bit better than a waist.
To be honest though I mainly ride high winds and short boards now, so I may not be the best advisor on this one.
