To translate it from French to English, copy the text then go to http://www.abacho.co.uk/translate/ and paste the text in the box. Hit translate from French to English and you'll get a rough copy of the text in English :D

It's a great web site!

Not sure if this will help a whole lot. You guys probably already got most of the article from the automatic translators, but I thought that I'd stretch those rusty French muscles and hand translate the article.

Winded!
You would have to be a morning person this Tuesday on the site of Semnoz to be able to fully enjoy the generous South-West wind blowing at 15-20 knots. From 8:30am some courageous skiers put on their boots, prepared their wings and started practicing, waiting for the start of the competition.
The competition finally begins around 10:00am and the skiers open the hostilities.
The best riders qualify without any problems and during those first heats, we already notice the excellent form of the American Alex Peterson, the Suisse Fabio Ingrosso and the French Fabrice Tripier-Mondancin. All 3 find themselves logically in the finals along with the Norwegian Christopher Dons. We will note the little counter performance of Pascal Joubert who fails at the doors of the semi-finals.

The finals
The finals is a show of really high jumps and, at the same time, offers great suspense with Peterson, Ingrosso and Tripier-Mondancin elbow to elbow, each showing off more technical stunts than the last.
Aerial, innovating in his moves, the American Peterson finally imposes himself followed by a Tripier-Mondancin, also in top shape. Ingrosso completes the podium of the day followed by Dons.
Already moody during the skiers’ heats, the wind gives even more work to the snowboarders. Damien Richard, the course director puts the competitors in stand-by starting at 1:00pm, for a large portion of the afternoon.
Some play around like Mathieu Blanchard on the slide bar. Romain Fabretti on the other hand, practices with his Takoon Skoop. Proof that the mountain population is definitely interested in the “Sausage Wings”!
Despite some shy gusts, the wind stays absent and at 3:30, the organization finally decides to reschedule the competition to Wednesday for the snowboarders.

Is Larry/Scuba Center footing the bill for the tour? If so, this says something positive about his commitment to kiting.

Yeah hoo! Alex called me yesterday after he won the first day and said he jumped about 60 ft up and easily cleared a football field. All with his twenty meter North kite.

Alex has been a team rider for Scuba Center for the last few years. After his performance in the RedBull Kitefreeze, additional sponsors have contacted him and are helping him participate in these events as well.

Way to go Alex!

60 feet? holy crap, that's a big jump - they must be launching off of a hillside and/or some kickers. That is pretty sweet. I hope we eventually see some video, online or otherwise, of his antics.

I guess it pays to paraglide and kite...
