I find it interesting that all of the LEI kite companies are starting to make inflatables that are the shape of foils with bridles. I always thought one of the reasons people flew inflatables instead of a close cell foil was because there was no bridle to deal with. huh quess that won't hold true soon.

The new kites will produce more power with less kite so the design has gotten much more efficent. I will also be able to fly them being that I have only flown foils (except Scott's sweet Machine 20.5 last weekend). I can't wait to see the results of the revolution.

If you look carefully at the Naish, you'll notice it isn't flat. It is, however, bridled.

I've always knew there would be further refinement in these designs. Foils, with their double skin foil, are so efficient, LEIs are rigid single surface, stable wings, etc etc.

I am surprised that the direction the Peter Lynns were going hasn't taken off...fourline sheetability, no bridles (internal), and super stable. Nice hybrid concept. Now these new foil shaped LEIs with bridles? I agree, the bridles seem to be a big downside. Simplicity please. Why not a double tipped mast in the LE for stiffness? Maybe we could even have really short lines and attach one end of the kite to the board...wait we've already done that. : )

all good though. If we don't try, we'll never know. It's cool to see all the exploration.

I guess the C-shaped foil is still being pursued. If you've ever seen Aaron or Emily walking in the water with their Peter Lynns, hands off the bar, you know how stable this concept is. The inclusion of the 5th line is interesting.
