Don't forget about Clear Lake, Iowa. They are calling for 16-24 gusting to 32. Sweet!

Cannon was great last weekend. We launch from the North side - Ackerman Park. The wind is directly onshore there. You sail up wind a bit where the lake narrows and you get stellar shore-to-shore reaches. For this time of year water quality can be an issue. Last weekend it was just fine - no serious green slimings. If I can get out of family duty I will probably try and get down there tomorrow afternoon - Milly is just a bit to far out of range for me lately

I have a work function tomorrow that ends at 4 in Afton. How long would it take to get from Afton to Cannon? I have never sailed Cannon before. I may just take my chances with White Bear since I am familiar with it. I probalby won't get to White Bear til 5ish anyway so I expect that some boat traffic will have dissipated.

From White Bear it take exactly 1 hour to get to Cannon...so it should be about the same from Afton.

The nice thing about Cannon is virtually no boat traffic and no crowds.

Based upon the experimental I'm starting to wonder if Pepin might be a better option.

Pepin sounds good. I have never sailed their before either. I think I will head to Cannon unless people decide to go to Pepin. I need to go somewhere new this weekend. If anybody can comment on the water at Cannon, that would be great. Cannon seems to have the best forecast for tommorow, starting a little earlier than farther north.

I won't get to sail til around 5ish so forcasts with wind lasting through the evening look attractive to me. I think I'll head to White Bear (Ramsey) because the forcast looks like it will last into the evening. Plus, I'll have the girlfriend along so she can sit on a nice beach.

I am torn between Pepin and Cannon. Pepin is a good hour or so closer to me, but the wind looks a little better at Cannon. I'll post tomorrow morning on which I decide.
