mahtomedi is great with a west wind. it should be nice this afternoon, when the temp goes above zero. the wind chill is currently -27.

Since I was moving slightly upwind, I think the "effective" wind chill was even colder!!!

Anyway, had a great 3 hour session, and met Jim, Jerry, and Mike (throughout the morning). I heard yesterday was THE day since the powder (oooohhh powder) was ubiquitous, unlike today where it was patchy--powder, chatter, powder, chatter, powder, chatter. This was my first time using a snowboard (I had tried skis once last season and was on my skates once earlier this season)--and I was stoked since I was staying upwind--but I could definitely appreciate why complete powder would rock.
