Bigger Kite, Suggestions?.

Post by steveb »

I've come to the decision I need to get a bigger kite, right now b5 is my largest. I'm 230lbs and my jumping is lacking a certain finess, kite handling is pretty good rarely dropping the kite.
I prefer Ram airs but am interested in what toys you guys have had sucess with, I'm thinking an 8 or 9m which will be good for improving my jumping with some semblance of control..... suggestions?.

Go four line. The ability to depower is key to flying in our gusty conditions, keeping the kite where you want it in the window, and powering up to boost. The Ozone Frenzy is an amazing kite. It is well built, handles gusts smoothly, and is extremely user friendly. Alex P. is now going to do the international winter kiting tour on these kites.

If you have any thoughts of continuing your water kite surfing, go to the tubes. Let me know if you'ld like to test ride one of Slingshot's Fuels.

I think you would like the 9.5 Ozone Frenzy. It would be a good match with your 5M. I have the 7.3M that mates with my 4M Blade. I also have a larger kite for light winds. There appear to be alot of Frenzys around so you shouldn't have a problem test flying one.

Good luck!

Ski boards

Post by steveb »

Have a look at skiboards.com they usually have some good deals. I'm looking for something I can rep and may no more mid summer, but in the meantime try skiboards.

Hey -- I just put a few kites for sale on the classifieds...all inflatables, which I prefer, but have flown the ozone frenzy's a bit and although they are not what I prefer, they do work great for snow, but not for jumping (that is what I think, the frenchies at the kitefreeze were jumping all over the place with them). 9m, 12m, and 16m infaltables $525 to $800 complete. see y'all soon -- matt z
