I'll be working in Caracas for the next 12 months and am looking for information on kiting.

Any information on destinations, rentals, or sources of information would be a great help!!!

Things are going good! I'm settled into my hotel in Altamira. The people have been VERY freindlly and most helpful and understanding. I think I'm really going to enjoy my time here.

This will be my first weekend in town - after that I hope to know much more about living here.

I've been told that it's only a 2 hour drive to the beach from Caracas.?.?.?

I've been wondering if I should bring my kite gear here with me the next time I come down or just try to rent... My biggest question is whether or not my 15meter Diesel is too large for the winds here...? The winds at Maragarita appear to be between 7 and 15 mph this time of year.
