I saw it in Hawaii in 2001, its awesome...definitely check it out... Robby does a kite scene in it, onboard camera, old 2line shot, size air... I think its the same one, came out in 1999.

It played at Valleyfair's Imax back around '99 but I missed it. I have been waiting for it to come back.

There is a show that was on channel 2 that was made about the day they filmed big wave portions of "Extreme" that is also awesome. It's called "Condition Black" and they show the whole saga of the guys trying just to get out in the huge conditions. There are scenes of the helocopter shooting the film dropping down between the waves and completely disappearing.

Seeing that in the omnitheater should be most impressive.

wow! I went to see this last night. Incredible footage! Very interesting commentary by the athletes. Definitely a common thread or stoke across all the sports. My girlfriend thought a lot of them sounded pretty "out there". I think that's a good thing.

I think it was shot in '99 or 2000, so the gear isn't cutting edge. They have one shot of a kiter on some pretty crude stuff. Doesn't matter though, it's still a great flick.

check it out.

Thanks for the heads up Denis

I showed up yesterday for the 2:00 o'clock showing of this and was told that everything was sold out for the afternoon except "seasons." You may want to go a bit early to get tickets for this...especially on the weekend.

Definately worth going to see  It was insane. I think Imax needs to start filming alex and them with their crazy film set up. If you want to go see it last night at the 9 o'clock showing it wasn't that packed and we were able to get tickets at the omni theater. So it looks like if you want to see the nine 0'clock showing that it probably won't be full.
