Would it fly in almost no wind Yes but that is not all...
A few people I know once tried this grand experiment. I remember it as clearly as it was yesterday. They got the kite filled up... and then they began to attach a few extra ballons for good measure. Pretty soon the kite was lifting up and not even the people could hold it down. So Xerxes (thats the guys name) hooked in and expected to take off. Well it work. But it worked too well.
The kite flew up in the air. And so did xerxes.
Poor xerxes... we saw him disapear into a speck in the sky. The last I heard was he began to appear on miliary rader and was IDed as a ufo. The were about to send some in on a fly-by. But by then he had entered canadain restricted airspace and they were forced to let him go.
We will miss that xerxes. I hope he finally landed the biggest jump ever up there in canada.
